Thank you for visiting my site. It is a privilege to be the Candidate for the Conservative Party to fight the next General Election for North Devon. Helen and I both thank you for your interest . I have been overwhelmed with the enthusiastic comments and encouragement I have received from so many and perhaps most importantly, from those who are not involved in the political process. Even I had underestimated just how much support there is in North Devon for a truly local candidate. I want to do all I can to build on the fantastic success achieved by our Councillors in the 2007 District Elections and Conservatives generally in the 2008 local elections and those for London Mayor. Since then, some fantastic by-election results have shown us a glimpse of the future!

I am working hard in the Constituency. Within my site are details of some of my activities including petitions and campaigns. Some of the places and events I have visited are here and I try hard to ensure there is media coverage to help promote them too. We need to ensure everyone in North Devon knows who I am and what I am doing - and that as a result they would like me to represent them and their interests in Parliament.

I have also been able to arrange visits from a couple of Shadow Ministers - it is about time we took North Devon out of the political wilderness!

Recently I have campaigned against the Boundary Commission's poor proposal for a County-wide Unitary Authority. I have been working hard on Barnstaple’s Strand improvements, amongst a host of other issues where I have been pleased to be able to help. Flagging such important issues as removal of crucial rural bus services, Braunton’s awful traffic problems and local planning issues are all part of the job.
