There are many different issues currently affecting North Devon. Below are some of these issues, which I believe something has to be done. I would be grateful if you could give me any feed back in regards to any of the below matters. Click on the below links to have your say. Thank you.

Braunton Traffic

Far too often, from Barnstaple the traffic is queued back as far as Wrafton and sometimes even as far as Chivenor and beyond. Coming into Braunton from Ilfracombe, sometimes the traffic is back as far as Knowle and for Croyde, with the busy time from the beach, the traffic is well past Saunton Park. What is the best way to deal with this problem? Your views are appreciated.

Wind Turbines

There is so much emotion about wind farms that I thought it would be a good idea to do some independent research. I want to hear your views. It seems that people either love them or hate them or is that just because theminority (which is very emotive about them) bothers to share their views in the media? What do you think?

He knows we must assess renewable energy options but at what cost? Are wind turbines effective? Do they ever recoup the money and resource cost involved with their installation? Are they dreadful blots on the landscape deterring people from visiting our area or are they attractions in their own right? Are they really noisy and do they mash-up birds or are these arguments pure emotion?

Taw Vale Road (to vote on re-opening, please click here)

There is a wonderful expanse of double-sided main road in Barnstaple which sees very little use following the road changes. This road is called Taw Vale. The idea for its closure seemed good to Planners because it was connected with the opening of our wonderful new bridge and the closure of Barnstaple’s Strand to traffic during the day but that’s not helping after all.
