Thank you for visiting my site. It is a privilege to be the Conservative Party Candidate to fight the General Election here in North Devon. Helen and I both thank you for your interest. I have been overwhelmed with the enthusiastic comments and encouragement I have received from so many and perhaps most importantly, from those who are not involved in the political process. Even I had underestimated just how much support there is in North Devon for a truly local candidate and I trust now I can now count on your votes to ensure that I get the opportunity to represent you views in Parliament in a new Conservative Government.

2010 needs to be a Year of Change, for North Devon and for our Country!

Locally we need to build on Conservative success at last year’s Council Elections and improve on the good work that our Council has started by having a Conservative MP in North Devon to support them. With a Conservative Government in power and a Conservative MP here in North Devon we can ensure that our voice will be heard and that North Devon will no longer be overlooked. A Liberal Democrat MP can never expect the same level of influence.

We cannot continue with a weak Prime Minister and a “prudent” Labour Government which has given us the biggest boom and the biggest bust and which now threatens our recovery with higher debts, higher instability, higher taxes, higher borrowing interest rates and higher unemployment. We need change to get our Country back on it feet!

With the Conservative Party needing to win an additional 117 seats in order to gain a majority of just one, it is vital that we all play our part by electing a Conservative Member of Parliament for North Devon and bringing David Cameron’s chance of forming a new Conservative Government one step closer. Our seat is crucial to that. So, please make your vote count at this General Election and vote for change. Remember a vote for the Liberal Democrats in North Devon increases the chance of Gordon Brown remaining as this Country’s Prime Minister!

The General Election is here and it is essential that everyone is prepared to play their part in order to see a change of Government and a brighter future for our Country. To this end I appeal to all of you who share with me in this aim. Practical help is still welcome here in North Devon to strengthen our campaign and if you would like to get involved we should be delighted to hear from you. This is your chance to make a practical contribution to the future of North Devon and indeed the politics of our Country.

Plans are now in place for a good number of canvassing opportunities and I look forward to meeting with as many of you as possible before the 6th May. Whilst the diary is quite full I should be delighted to attend any special events which you may be organising and you are welcome to contact the Conservative Office on 01271 343101 to see what can arranged
